HAO Reach the BSFA U16 Cup Final
The team worked tirelessly to stay with their opponents, who played some very good expansive football.
Bradley had a superb game in goal and made some incredible saves, earning the praise of his team mates and the respect of the opposition. The back five of Louis, Harry, James, Harry and Jack were solid for most of the game and when they were breached, our very own De Gea thwarted their efforts. Tom, SVB and Toby worked very hard in midfield - as did Charlie and Rhys up front.
During extra time, HAO started to play their best football and put pressure on Beckenham - In the 2nd half of aet a long ball by Brad was misjudged by their centre half and Rhys sprinted on to the ball to fire past the goalkeeper - scenes of wild jubilation followed as HAO sensed that this was their time. Minutes later Charlie cut in from the left, fired a powerful shot that was parried by the keeper, Reece reacted fastest again, heading the ball into the empty net and securing an incredible win.

This is the teams first final in the 5 years they have been as the school, but it shows that sticking together and never giving up are at the heart of being successful. In the words of the HBeckenham coach " Your lads just wanted it more!" - Mr Marie
