A Level Results - 2023-2024

CONGRATULATIONS HARRIS ACADEMY ORPINGTON CLASS OF 2023!

Today Year 13 students at Harris Academy Orpington are celebrating a well-deserved set of Sixth Form results. A third (33%) of entries achieved A*-B grades whilst 14% achieved the top A* and A grades.

These results mean that students can take up their places at a wide range of universities including the Universities of Leeds, Aston and Warwick to study subjects from Biological Sciences and Engineering to History and Law. A number of students have also secured places on Apprenticeships.

Notable individual success include:

The Academy’s Student Principal, Holly Pettit, who has secured a place at the University of Warwick to read History and Politics after achieving three A grades;

Demi Preece who achieved one A* and two As. Demi’s perseverance and determination have been remarkable to see as she has secured her place at University to study Biological Sciences;

Harry Tester who secured fantastic results with two As and a B enabling him to go on to the University of Surrey to study Electronic Engineering;

Malik Nayanin who secured an incredible set of vocational results with a Distinction and two Distinction*s;

Reggie Rose who, despite signing a professional football contract this year with Brentford FC, continued to study with the Academy and successfully passed his Sport Diploma.

David Astin, Executive Principal of Harris Academy Orpington, said:

“Despite the challenges of the last few years, the Academy’s students have remained focused and worked hard embodying our motto 'Together we can'. Whilst this has of course been a joint venture with families and teachers, our students have demonstrated everything that is incredible about Harris Academy Orpington. We are delighted and proud to be part of their journeys as they move onto their next chapter of their lives.

“With the Sixth Form having just been judged outstanding by Ofsted, this is the icing on the cake for an incredible year at Harris Academy Orpington. We look forward to building on these successes in the years to come.”

Fantastic results for Harry, Zain and Phillip. All securing places into some of the country's top universities!
